Gibraltar Monkeys
After a two hour flight from London, we landed in the "British" portion of Spain. Once we landed, we walked across the border and spent a long weekend basking in the sun. On returning to the airport, we had enough time to visit the "rock", and here are the great monkeys.... I understand they are actually apes, as they do not have tails, but I'm no expert! They were great though!

Hi, they are actually Monkeys.
They used to get mistakenly referred to as apes by some published tourit guides etc due to not having tails, but are in fact tailless monkeys.
While the terminology has thankfully been largely corrected in the published guides, the idea that 'the name should be the other way round' sadly lives on despite the correction.
[N.b. we are not a British 'portion of Spain' any more than Portugal is a portion of Spain. We are a British part of the Iberian peninsula!]
